Examine fraud in a variety of insurance areas, including the detriment it causes insurance companies, insureds, claimants and to our country’s economy in general.
3 hrs General Identity Theft
What is identity theft? How does it happen? What does it cost? What can you do? … Deter (protect yourself), Detect and Defend! We will discuss Identity Theft Insurance and how businesses can better protect their customers’ personal information.
3 hrs General Agents’ Legal Responsibility
Explore the legal environment of today’s insurance marketplace, the agents’ personal responsibilities, the legal relationships of agency, and some common problems and defenses against claims.

We will discuss why ethics are so important in the insurance business, and what ethical responsibilities an insurance professional has. Also why & how the insurance industry is regulated, and what specific practices in sales, underwriting and claim handling are regulated.

Every insurance professional who has contact with clients faces the challenge of communicating so clients feel they have received the best service possible. Delivering Quality Services will help develop the skills to communicate effectively in every customer interaction.

4 hrs L/H Partnership Program/LTC
**This course is approved by KS for the initial required training and by MO for the renewal required training. Both states have approved 4 hours C.E. for this course. ** Discusses the need for LTC, the sources available and how one might pay for LTC. We will examine the features, benefits, exclusion and taxation of the individual long-term care coverage. We will introduce the State LTC Partnership individual long-term care coverage – its requirements and benefits to both the state and the individual.

Examine the durable powers of attorney, Federal programs, revocable living trusts and basic elements of estate planning.
2 hrs L/H Insuring More Than Just the Business
The uses of Life and Disability income insurance in the business arena. Specifically we cover Group Life, Salary Continuation plans, Business Overhead Expense, Key Person insurance, and Business Continuation (buy-sell agreements).
3 hrs L/H What Makes the Contract Life Insurance?
Take a look at general principles that make life insurance a legally enforceable contract.

Discuss assessment of the client’s need, the basics of a DI policy, optional benefits, and underwriting the disability risk.

Understand Managed Care Organizations. Learn the advantages and disadvantages of HMO’s, PPO’s, EPO’s & POS plans.
3 hrs L/H Health Care Today
Analyze the opinions from the American public, employers, and the health care providers.

Examine the features, benefits, exclusions, and taxation of individual long-term care coverage.
2 hrs L/H Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit
We will look at Medicare Part D and its timetable, the choices people have, who is eligible, what the cost will be, what Part D Formularies are, how to qualify for special drug subsidies, and how Part D interacts with other coverages.
3 hrs L/H Understanding the Life Product and Need
How do you determine the life insurance needs of a family? We will discuss the Income Replacement approaches and the Family Needs Analysis. Then we will discuss whole life, term life, and other options that may fit the need.

Review underwriting and coverage issues of specialty vehicles, watercraft and inland marine exposures.
3 hrs P/C Protecting Personal Exposure
Clarify the limitations of traditional personal lines coverages and explain the features of optional, alternative coverages.
2 hrs P/C Auto A, B, C’s (Eligibility, Definitions, & Exclusions)
Study the basic concepts of personal auto insurance, including liability, med pay and uninsured motorists coverage.
3 hrs P/C Auto Provisions, Endorsements & Premiums
Discuss Part D (Coverage for Damage to your Auto), the insured’s duties after an accident or loss, general provisions, various endorsements, and some commonly asked questions about personal auto premiums.
3hrs P/C Small Business BOP (Business Owners Policy)
Discuss the concept and function of package policies for small businesses, their basic eligibility requirements and composition, their typical standard and optional coverages, their usual exclusions and their typical conditions and other provisions.
3hrs P/C BOP (Business Owners Policy)
Discuss liability coverages of the small business owner, including their exposures and exclusions under the BOP. Then we will review common BOP policy conditions & endorsements.
